Why we use and like the Primula Moka Pot

A Moka Pot is perhaps the simplest of utensils for making creamy, rich coffee.

We use, like, and recommend the Primula Moka Pot because it is the ideal size for one 10 ounce cup of coffee for one's morning breakfast.

The resulting coffee is stronger than automatic drip coffee or french-press coffee but lighter consistency than proper espresso. The Moka Pot yields two to three times the volume of an espresso shot, giving one enough to drink throughout the breakfast or while reading the morning economic news.

A Moka Pot requires no electronics and makes no noise beyond the pleasant gurgling when the water boils through the grounds.

Cleaning a Moka Pot is very simple because there are no excess grounds, there is no paper filter, and one taps out the puck into the compost or trash after each use.

A good burr grinder is needed for grinding whole bean coffees. Read our recommendation for the !ZPresso grinder.
